R.I.P

Today is a sad day for the music world, icon and legend Whitney Houston has passed away. Her inspiring voice will be missed. This Black History month has been very sad in losing three very inspirational people. Along with Ms. Houston, Etta James and Don Cornelius have also passed. For those who may not know Don Cornelius is the host of the ever so popular show Soul Train.

Although this is a sad occasion, one can be almost certain that tomorrow night at the Grammys there will be a tribute to both Whitney & Etta. No doubt they will have possibly Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera performed in their honor or Jennifer Hudson. 2. Jennifer Hudson did an amazing job of signing I Will Always Love You. LL's prayer for Whitney and the family was a great idea and I thought he did a lovely job executing it.

  3. It's so sad to see these celebrities die after battling these life long drug battles. I wish these record labels would try harder to prevent and help these entertainers when they are in trouble instead of just sweeping the abuse under the rug as soon as it begins.

  4. Good job calling Jennifer Hudson! Now if only she'd stop doing those annoying Weight Watcher's commercials...

  5. I didn't have any particular feeling toward Whitney Houston, but she had an amazing voice and a strong personality. I will always love "How Will I Know" and am readily available to sing it into a hairbrush while dancing on a bed.

  7. I'm still sad about Whitney. She had a great voice, and problems aside, she was a great friend and role model to a lot of young singers.

  8. It's unfortunate that the people around Whitney (ie: her entourage)enabled her. I hope her daughter Bobbi Kristina finds a way to turn this tragedy into a learning experience; she cannot continue to go down the same road as her mother and father and hope to survive it.
